- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- County board: means the board of county commissioners in counties not under township organization, and the board of supervisors in counties under township organization, and the board of commissioners of Cook County. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.07
A request for any construction contract of more than $10,000 by the District must be submitted for approval to the county board of the county in which the district is situated. The county board has 30 calendar days to approve the construction contract. If the county board does not approve or disapprove the construction contract within 30 calendar days after the receipt of such request, the request shall be deemed approved.
