Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 730 ILCS 154/90
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

List of violent offenders against youth; list of facilities, schools, and institutions of higher education. The Illinois State Police shall promulgate rules to develop a list of violent offenders against youth covered by this Act and a list of child care facilities, schools, and institutions of higher education eligible to receive notice under this Act, so that the list can be disseminated in a timely manner to law enforcement agencies having jurisdiction.
