Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 735 ILCS 5/12-111

  • Month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" a calendar year unless otherwise expressed; and the word "year" alone, is equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.10
     No judgment shall bind the goods and chattels of the person against whom it is entered, until a certified copy thereof is delivered to the sheriff or other proper officer to be served; and for the better manifestation of the time, the sheriff or other officer shall, on receipt of such certified copy, indorse upon the back thereof the day of the month and year and hour when he or she received the same.
