- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
At the request of a State‘s Attorney or other appropriate public official acting under Section 315, a law enforcement officer may take any lawful action reasonably necessary to locate a child or a party and assist a State’s Attorney or appropriate public official with responsibilities under Section 315.
