A foreign corporation authorized to conduct affairs in this State shall secure amended authority to do so in the event it changes its corporate name, changes the duration of its corporate existence, or desires to pursue in this State other or additional purposes than those set forth in its prior application for authority, by making application to the Secretary of State.
The application shall set forth:

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
(1) The name of the corporation, with any additions
required in order to comply with Section 104.05 of this Act, together with the state or country under the laws of which it is organized.
