Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 820 ILCS 149/3

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
  • Units of local government: has the meaning established in Section 1 of Article VII of the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.28
     This Act is intended to provide time off with pay to allow employees of units of local government, boards of election commissioners, or private employers in the State of Illinois to donate blood or an organ.
