Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 820 ILCS 310/4b
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14

The provisions of this Act relating to self-insurance and the rules and regulations promulgated hereunder shall not be construed to be a limitation upon the powers of self-insurance granted to the State and units of local government and school districts by Article VII, Section 1 of the Illinois Constitution or by statute, nor to any governmental entity so designated by the legislature.
