Sec. 5. A prohibited person is not considered responsible or best for purposes of determining whether a bidder or offeror is responsible or best under any of the following:

Terms Used In Indiana Code 1-1-15-5
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- political subdivision: has the meaning set forth in IC 36-1-2-13. See Indiana Code 1-1-15-1
- prohibited person: refers to a person that has been designated as posing a national security threat to the integrity of communications networks or the communications supply chain under Indiana Code 1-1-15-2
- state agency: means an authority, board, branch, commission, committee, department, division, or other instrumentality of any of the following:

- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
(3) IC 5-22.
(4) IC 8-23-9.
(5) IC 36-1-12.
(6) Any other statute under which a state agency or political subdivision awards a contract.
