Sec. 4. As used in this chapter, “law enforcement agency” means an agency or department of the state, a political subdivision, or a tribe that:

(1) has jurisdiction over the search for a suspect in a case involving the death or serious injury of a law enforcement officer; or

Terms Used In Indiana Code 10-13-8-4

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • law enforcement officer: means any of the following:
