Indiana Code 10-16-2-2. Duties

Sec. 2. The military department shall administer all matters concerning or relating to the following:

(1) The militia.

Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

(2) The national guard.

(3) Other military organizations under the jurisdiction of the state.

(4) Other duties as the governor may assign.
