Indiana Code 10-16-7-1. “Employer”

Sec. 1. (a) As used in section 5(d) and 5(e) of this chapter, “employer” means the state.

Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

(b) As used in section 6 of this chapter, “employer” refers to an employer:

(1) other than the state or a county, township, municipality, or school corporation in Indiana; and

(2) that employs any employee other than an employee in a temporary position.
