- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.

Sec. 10.5. Not later than December 31, 2021, the commission shall develop, adopt, and issue a policy listing the disallowable separation codes of each branch of the armed forces. The commission shall review the policy for amendment and adopt any necessary amendments before July 1 of each year.
