- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Sec. 6. A person, hospital, physician, or transportation provider aggrieved by a determination of an appeal taken under section 1 or 1.2 of this chapter may appeal the determination under IC 4-21.5.
