Sec. 23. (a) The state department shall maintain a toll-free telephone line to provide information, referral, follow-up, and personal assistance concerning federal, state, local, and private programs that provide the following:
(1) Services to children less than twenty-one (21) years of age with long term health care needs.
(2) Assistance to pregnant women to obtain prenatal care and other services to promote healthy women, babies, and families.
(b) The state department shall provide the telephone service required in subsection (a) to the following:
(1) Families with children having long term health care needs.
(2) Pregnant women.
(3) Health care providers.
(4) Employees of state and local governmental entities.
(5) Educators.
(6) Other entities that provide services to children with long term health care needs.
(c) The state department may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to implement this section.
