Sec. 16. A person who is not certified or licensed under this chapter and identifies or holds out to other persons that the person is:

(1) certified or licensed under this chapter; or

Under the Indiana Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |
---|---|---|
Class C misdemeanor | up to 60 days | up to $500 |
(2) authorized to do any act allowed under this chapter;
commits a Class C misdemeanor.
