- scope of practice: means defined parameters of various duties or services that may be provided by an individual with specific credentials. See Indiana Code 16-31.5-2-16
Sec. 6. As used in this article, “emergency medical technician” or “EMT” means an individual licensed with cognitive knowledge and a scope of practice that corresponds to that level in the National EMS Education Standards and the National EMS Scope of Practice Model.
