Sec. 7. “Organizer” means an entity that:
(2) has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service to be tax exempt and maintains such tax exempt status; and
(1) is a nonprofit corporation that is incorporated or registered in Indiana;

- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
(3) has an independent board whose members have been elected or selected under the organizer’s application and that has entered into a contract under this article to operate a charter school.
