Terms Used In Indiana Code 20-25-5-7

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • school corporation: means a public school corporation of the state located in whole or in part in a county containing a consolidated city. See Indiana Code 20-25-5-9
   Sec. 7. As used in this chapter, “resolution” of a school corporation means a resolution duly adopted by the school corporation‘s governing body.
