Sec. 5. Each state educational institution shall, at a minimum, do the following:
(2) Offer in-state tuition to:
(1) Provide academic and career counseling specifically designed for veteran students in the school of education or the school of education equivalent.
Terms Used In Indiana Code 21-41-12-5
- program: refers to the second service for veterans program established by section 3 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 21-41-12-1
- veteran: includes "Hoosier veteran" and applies to the construction of all Indiana statutes, unless the construction is expressly excluded by the terms of the statute, is plainly repugnant to the intent of the general assembly or of the context of the statute, or is inconsistent with federal law. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(A) Indiana resident veteran students; and
(B) out-of-state veteran students in accordance with IC 21-14-12.2;
who apply for and are accepted into the program.
(3) Develop a proactive initiative to attract and recruit veteran students to the school of education or the school of education equivalent.
(4) Coordinate the second service for veterans program with the combat to college program.
