Terms Used In Indiana Code 22-2-19-4

  • department of labor: refers to the department of labor created by IC 22-1-1-1. See Indiana Code 22-2-19-1
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
   Sec. 4. Every employer under the jurisdiction of the department of labor with more than fifty (50) full-time employees (or their equivalent) shall display the poster distributed under section 2 of this chapter in a conspicuous place where employees are employed.
