Terms Used In Indiana Code 23-1.3-3-1
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Sec. 1. A benefit corporation shall be incorporated in accordance with IC 23-1-21, except that its articles of incorporation must state that it is a benefit corporation.
