- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Sec. 3. The creation of general public benefit and a specific public benefit under sections 1 and 2 of this chapter is in the best interests of a benefit corporation.
