Sec. 22. The commissioner may adopt rules and issue orders to do the following:

Terms Used In Indiana Code 23-2-6-22

  • commissioner: refers to the securities commissioner appointed under IC 23-19-6-1(a). See Indiana Code 23-2-6-2
  • commodity: means , except as otherwise specified by a rule, regulation, or order of the commissioner, any of the following:

  • Commodity Exchange Act: means the act of the United States Congress known as the Commodity Exchange Act (7 U. See Indiana Code 23-2-6-7
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(A) are covered by this chapter; and

(B) are not within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as granted by the Commodity Exchange Act.

(2) Exempt persons from this chapter.

(3) Implement the provisions of this chapter for the protection of purchasers and sellers of commodities.
