Under the Indiana Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |

Class A misdemeanor | up to 1 year | up to $5,000 |
Sec. 2. A person who monopolizes any part of the trade or commerce within this state commits a Class A misdemeanor.
