Sec. 3. (a) As used in this chapter, “real property improvement” means any alteration, repair, replacement, reconstruction, or other modification of residential real property.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 24-5-11-3

  • exterior improvement: means any alteration, repair, replacement, reconstruction, or other modification made to the exterior of residential real property, including the exterior of any structure on or fixture or improvement to the property. See Indiana Code 24-5-11-2.5
  • interior improvement: means any alteration, repair, replacement, reconstruction, or other modification made to the interior of real property, including the interior of any structure on or fixture or improvement to the property. See Indiana Code 24-5-11-2.8
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
     (b) The term includes the following:

(1) An exterior improvement.

(2) An interior improvement.
