- Attorney: includes a counselor or other person authorized to appear and represent a party in an action or special proceeding. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
Sec. 9. The Indiana department of health, its division of weights and measures, food inspectors, sealers of weights and measures, and agents are hereby charged with the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. It shall be the duty of every prosecuting attorney to whom the Indiana department of health or any of its agents shall report any violation of the provisions of this chapter to cause proceedings to be commenced against the person or persons so violating the provisions of this chapter and to prosecute the same to final termination.
