Sec. 1. (a) The
auctioneer recovery fund is established for the purpose set out in this chapter. The fund shall be administered by the auctioneer
commission.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 25-6.1-8-1
- Auctioneer: means an individual who is engaged in, or who by advertising or otherwise holds the individual out as being available to engage in, the calling for, the recognition of, and the acceptance of offers for the purchase of goods or real estate at an auction. See Indiana Code 25-6.1-1-3
- Commission: means the Indiana auctioneer commission. See Indiana Code 25-6.1-1-3
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
(b) The treasurer of state shall invest the money in the fund not currently needed to meet the obligations of the fund in the same manner as other public funds may be invested. Interest that accrues from these investments shall be deposited in the fund.
(c) Money in the fund at the end of a fiscal year does not revert to the state general fund, except as provided in section 2.1 of this chapter.
