- Joint session: When both chambers of a legislature adopt a concurrent resolution to meet together.
Sec. 2. Whenever a tie vote at an election for the offices of governor and lieutenant governor occurs, a majority of the state senate and house of representatives meeting in joint session shall elect these officials from among the candidates receiving the tie vote in accordance with Article 5, § 5 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana.
