Sec. 5.5. (a) This section applies to a voter registration application that is received by a county voter registration office after the date specified for filing the application under Ind. Code § 3-7-32-8.

     (b) In determining the eligibility of the applicant, the county voter registration office may not reject the application solely on the ground that an individual who received the application from the applicant failed to comply with Ind. Code § 3-7-32-8. However, the county voter registration office shall, not later than three (3) days after receipt of the application, provide notice of the apparent violation of Ind. Code § 3-7-32-8 to the county election board for appropriate action under Ind. Code § 3-6-5-31.
