Sec. 4. (a) The department shall expunge child abuse or neglect
information relating to a substantiated report not later than the time specified for
expungement of the report from the child protection index under
IC 31-33-26-15.

- expungement: means :
Indiana Code 31-33-27-1
- information: includes all files and records created or maintained by the department. See Indiana Code 31-33-27-2
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(1) a court having jurisdiction over a child in need of services proceeding; or
(2) an administrative hearing officer under IC 31-33-26-9;
finds that the person was not a perpetrator of the child abuse or neglect that occurred.
