- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
Sec. 6. Except if a petition is filed under IC 31-34-1-6 or IC 31-34-1-3.5, the juvenile court shall determine whether the parent, guardian, or custodian admits or denies the allegations of the petition. A failure to respond constitutes a denial.
