- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
Sec. 5. A child detained under section 3 or 4 of this chapter or the child’s parent, guardian, or custodian may petition the juvenile court for additional detention hearings.
