Terms Used In Indiana Code 33-33-79-15
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Sec. 15. In a case where, under state law, a person has the right of appeal from the circuit court to the supreme court, an appeal may be had from the superior court.
