Terms Used In Indiana Code 33-38-11-4

  • Judgment: means all final orders, decrees, and determinations in an action and all orders upon which executions may issue. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
  • Verdict: The decision of a petit jury or a judge.
(2) receive the verdict of the jury; and

(3) make and enter the judgment on the jury verdict;

in a civil case referred to the temporary judge by the judge of the court.
