Sec. 4. (a) The activities of the judicial conference shall be directed by a board of directors having the following members:
(2) The chief judge of the court of appeals.
(1) The chief justice of Indiana.
Terms Used In Indiana Code 33-38-9-4
- Chief judge: The judge who has primary responsibility for the administration of a court but also decides cases; chief judges are determined by seniority.
- judicial conference: refers to the judicial conference of Indiana established by section 3 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 33-38-9-1
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(3) The president of the Indiana judges association.
(4) The president of the Indiana council of juvenile and family court judges.
(5) Judges from the districts established by the administrative rules of the supreme court and rules of the board of directors of the judicial conference.
(6) Five (5) trial court judges appointed for terms of one (1) year by the chief justice of Indiana.
(b) The chief justice of Indiana shall serve as chairperson of the board of directors.
