Sec. 3.5. (a) A legislative member of the commission serves a two (2) year term that expires June 30 of an odd-numbered year.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 33-40-5-3.5

  • commission: refers to the Indiana commission on court appointed attorneys established by section 2 of this chapter. See Indiana Code 33-40-5-1
  • Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
     (b) A member of the commission appointed under section 2(b)(1) through 2(b)(3) of this chapter serves a four (4) year term that expires June 30, 2025, and each fourth year thereafter.

     (c) A member of the commission serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority and may be reappointed to successive terms.
