Indiana Code 34-45-3-2. Witness compelled to appear and testify

Sec. 2. A witness described in section 1 of this chapter may be compelled to appear and testify in:

(1) any court in the county of the residence of the witness; or

Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
Testify: Answer questions in court.
Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.

(2) any court in an adjoining county;

to an opinion as an expert in relation to any matter whenever the opinion is material evidence relevant to an issue on trial before a court or jury.
