Terms Used In Indiana Code 34-55-4-5

  • Sheriff: means the sheriff of the county or another person authorized to perform sheriff's duties. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
   Sec. 5. It is not the duty of the sheriff to ascertain the amount of liens and encumbrances. However, either party may furnish the sheriff with a list of liens and encumbrances, with the amount and nature of each.
