Sec. 11. (a) A court may require a person who has been charged with a crime of domestic violence (as described in IC 35-31.5-2-78) to wear a monitoring device as a condition of bail.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 35-33-8-11

  • Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
     (b) A court may order a person who is required to wear a monitoring device under subsection (a) to pay any costs associated with the monitoring device.
