Sec. 6. (a) If the victim is deceased or is under the age of eighteen (18) years, the prosecuting
attorney shall certify that he has completed the procedure required by section 5 of this chapter with at least one (1) of the next of kin or the parent,
guardian, or custodian of the victim. If the victim is a
corporation, limited liability company, association, or governmental entity, the prosecuting attorney shall certify that he has completed the procedure with a responsible officer or agent of the entity. If the victim is a
partnership, the prosecuting attorney shall certify that he has completed the procedure with at least one (1) partner.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 35-35-3-6
- Attorney: includes a counselor or other person authorized to appear and represent a party in an action or special proceeding. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
(b) If there are more than three (3) victims, the prosecuting attorney shall complete the procedure required by section 5 of this chapter with the three (3) who he believes have suffered the most.
