Under the Indiana Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:| Class | Prison | Fine |

Sec. 12. A person who knowingly or intentionally makes a materially false statement on Form 4473 completed under section 3 of this chapter commits a Level 6 felony.
