- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Sec. 17. “School corporation” means a local public school corporation established under state law. The term includes a school city, school town, metropolitan school district, consolidated school corporation, county school corporation, township school corporation, community school corporation, or united school corporation.
