- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC

Sec. 6. A unit may use, improve, develop, insure, protect, maintain, lease, and dispose of its interests in property. A municipality may exercise the powers granted in this section within four (4) miles outside of its corporate boundaries.
