- Authority: refers to a civic center building authority created under this chapter. See Indiana Code 36-10-10-2
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Probate: Proving a will
- Venue: The geographical location in which a case is tried.
Sec. 5. A director may be removed from office for good cause by an order of the circuit court, superior court, or probate court of the county in which the authority is located, subject to the procedure of this section. A complaint stating the preferred charges may be filed by any person against a director. The cause shall be placed on the advanced calendar and be tried as other civil causes are tried by the court without the intervention of a jury. If the charges are sustained, the court shall declare the office vacant. A change of venue from the judge shall be granted upon motion, but a change of venue from the county may not be taken.
