- Litigation: A case, controversy, or lawsuit. Participants (plaintiffs and defendants) in lawsuits are called litigants.
Sec. 24. An action filed under section 8 or 17 of this chapter takes precedence over other pending litigation, and shall be tried and determined by the court at as early a date as possible.
