Terms Used In Indiana Code 36-9-4-52

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
   Sec. 52. Property acquired by a municipality or public transportation corporation under this chapter is exempt from property taxes.
