Sec. 3. (a) Unless otherwise provided by
statute or ordinance, the works board has custody of and may maintain all real and
personal property of the city.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 36-9-6-3
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Personal property: includes goods, chattels, evidences of debt, and things in action. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
(1) all work required to improve or repair any real or personal property that belongs to or is used by the city; and
(2) the erection of all buildings and other structures needed for any public purpose.
