Sec. 3. (a) The expenses of a county surveyor, county engineer, or other person in attending the annual road school, including mileage, lodging, and tuition, shall be paid from the county general fund. On presentation of the proper receipts for these expenses, and with the approval of the county executive, the county auditor shall issue the county auditor’s warrant for the expenses.
(b) The municipal legislative body may annually appropriate sums for the necessary expense of mileage, meals, and lodging of a municipal engineer or other person in attending the annual road school.
