Sec. 7. “Instrument” refers to any of the following:

Terms Used In Indiana Code 4-20.5-1-7
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(3) Any other document that transfers property.
