Terms Used In Indiana Code 4-33-11-2

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
   Sec. 2. An appeal of a final rule or order of the commission may be commenced under IC 4-21.5 in the circuit court or superior court of the county containing the dock or site of the riverboat.
